United States of America: Extension of definitive antidumping duties on imports of certain carbon and alloy steel cut-to-length plate from Austria, Belgium, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Rep of Korea, South Africa, Chinese Taipei and Turkiye (termination of definitive duty on imports from Brazil)

In May 2016, the United States initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of certain carbon and alloy steel cut-to-length plate from Austria, Belgium, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Rep. of Korea, South Africa, Chinese Taipei and Turkiye. Notably, on the same day, a countervailing investigation on the subject good was initiated, see related state act. In November 2016, a provisional duty was imposed on Austria, Belgium, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Rep. of Korea and Chinese Taipei. In September 2016, a provisional duty was imposed on Brazil, South Africa and Turkiye. In February 2017, a definitive duty was imposed on Brazil, South Africa and Turkiye. In March 2017, a definitive duty was imposed on China. In May 2017, a definitive duty was imposed on Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Rep. of Korea and Chinese Taipei. In December 2021, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duties were extended for a new period in February 2023, except for Brazil, for which the definitive duty was terminated in February 2023.
