In May 2016, the United States initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of certain carbon and alloy steel cut-to-length plate from Brazil, China and Rep. of Korea. Notably, on the same day, an antidumping investigation on the subject good was initiated, see related state act. In May 2016, the investigation was terminated in Brazil. In September 2016, a provisional duty was imposed on China and Rep. of Korea. In March 2017, a definitive duty was imposed on China. In May 2017, a definitive duty was imposed on Rep. of Korea. In December 2021, a sunset review was initiated.
