United States of America: Extension of countervailing duty on imports of oil country tubular goods from China, as well as extension of duty to imports from Thailand following anti-circumvention investigation

In May 2009, the United States initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of oil country tubular goods from China. The investigation is still in progress. In September 2009, a provisional duty was imposed. The investigation is still in progress. In January 2010, a definitive duty was imposed. In December 2014, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in May 2015. In April 2020, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in December 2020. In December 2024, an anti-circumvention investigation on imports from Thailand was initiated. In August 2025, the definitive duty on imports from China was provisionally extended to imports from Thailand. In November 2025, a sunset review was initiated (notice published in December 2025). In February 2026, the definitive duty on imports from China was definitively extended to imports from Thailand. In May 2026, the definitive duty was extended for a new period (notification published in June 2026).
