United States of America: Extension of countervailing duty on imports of oil country tubular goods from China, as well as provisional extension of duty to imports from Thailand following anti-circumvention investigation

In May 2009, the United States initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of oil country tubular goods from China. The investigation is still in progress. In September 2009, a provisional duty was imposed. The investigation is still in progress. In January 2010, a definitive duty was imposed. In December 2014, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in May 2015. In April 2020, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in December 2020. In December 2024, an anti-circumvention investigation on imports from Thailand was initiated. In August 2025, the definitive duty on imports from China was provisionally extended to imports from Thailand. In November 2025, a sunset review was initiated (notice published in December 2025).
