In December 2014, the United States initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of melamine from China and Trinidad and Tobago. In April 2015, a provisional duty was imposed. In December 2015, the definitive duty was terminated on imports from Trinidad and Tobago. In December 2015, a definitive duty was imposed on imports of the subject good from China. In November 2020, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in July 2021.
