In March 2018, the Thai government announced amendments to the Royal Decree on Managing the Work of Aliens issued in June 2017. This follows the Thai government's July 2017 implementation of temporary measures to suspend various penalties in the Decree to prevent foreign workflow flight. Amendments include the reimplementation of penalties at a lower rate and increased reporting by employers and foreign employees to officials.
