On 3 January 2016, the Saudi Industrial Development Fund provides loans worth SR 4 billion (circa USD 1 billion) for four industrial projects dedicated to setting up complexes for the production of sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, ammonia, and phosphate compound fertilizers in the cities of Ras Al-Khair and Turaif.
