In March 2026, the Russian authorities introduced amendments to the Federal Law on Foreign Investments in Strategic Sectors. The amendments expand the list of strategic sectors, broadening the scope of transactions by foreign investors concerning Russian entities or assets, which require mandatory prior approval from the Russian government.
