In December 2025, the Russian government introduced a temporary 50% duty on exports of husked rice, as well as an export tariff quota allowing the duty-free export of 200'000 tonnes of husked rice from 1 January to 31 December 2026. In July 2026, the export duty on husked rice was eliminated, and the export tariff quota was terminated.
