In September 2024, the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of certain flat-rolled products of iron, non-alloy or other alloy steel of a width of 600mm or more from China, Japan and Chinese Taipei. In March 2026, a definitive duty was imposed.
