In August 2025, the Damodar Valley Corporation announced a tender for the replacement of existing conductors in its 132KV D/C transmission lines. The tender specifies that only 'Class-I local suppliers' are eligible to participate, in line with the Public Procurement (Preference to Make in India) Order 2017.
