In May 2024, the Ministry of Finance of Bangladesh reduced customs duty and exempted regulatory duty, supplementary duty, and value added tax on the import of cables, fitted with connector. These measures support the manufacture of bio hygiene machinery and equipment for quality water production in the food and beverage industry.
