In February 2023, the United Kingdom's Department for Energy Security and Net Zero launched the Heat Network Efficiency Scheme, providing capital and revenue grants to support existing communal and district heating networks. This GBP 77 million scheme, active until March 2025, aims to improve network efficiency and address sub-optimal outcomes.
