In July 2025, the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced sanctions against networks involved in transporting and purchasing billions of dollars' worth of Iranian oil. The action targeted entities and vessels across multiple jurisdictions for facilitating Iran's oil trade, some of which benefited the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Qods Force.
