In June 2025, the United States initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of steel concrete reinforcing bar from Algeria, Bulgaria, Egypt, and Vietnam. In December 2025, a provisional duty was imposed on imports from Algeria. In March 2026, a provisional duty was imposed on imports from Bulgaria, Egypt, and Vietnam. The investigation on imports from Bulgaria, Egypt, and Vietnam is still in progress. In April 2026, a definitive duty was imposed on imports from Algeria.
