In May 2025, it was announced that the Hubei Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs would provide EUR 138.7 million in state aid to support low-carbon agriculture and soil health improvement in Hubei province. The funding for the program was obtained with the help of a loan from the World Bank.
