In May 2025, the European Commission launched a public consultation on a list of potential countermeasures targeting US imports worth EUR 95 billion and potential EU export restrictions on steel scrap and chemical products worth EUR 4.4 billion. These measures are being considered under the EU's Enforcement Regulation.
