In December 2024, Canada announced state aid of up to CAD 20 (USD 14) million through the Critical Minerals Infrastructure Fund to support the construction of a hydro transmission line and related infrastructure for Foran Mining Corporation's McIlvenna Bay mine project in Saskatchewan.
