In September 2024, the Chinese authorities initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of halogenated butyl rubber from Canada, Japan and India. In August 2025, the investigation on imports from India was terminated. In August, a provisional duty was imposed on imports from Canada and Japan. In March 2026, a definitive duty was imposed on imports from Canada and Japan.
