In September 2024, the Australian authorities initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of hot-rolled deformed steel reinforcing bar in lengths from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Türkiye, and Vietnam. In October 2025, a provisional duty was imposed on imports from Malaysia, Thailand, Türkiye, and Vietnam. In December 2025, the investigation on imports from Indonesia was terminated, and a definitive duty was imposed on imports from Malaysia, Thailand, Türkiye, and Vietnam.
