United States of America/State of Louisiana: $2.2 billion property tax exemption for LNG export facility

On May 3, 2012 Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana reached agreement with Sempra Energy to develop a $6 billion natural gas liquefaction export facility at the site of Sempra’s existing Cameron liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving terminal in Hackberry, Louisiana. The incentive package provided to Sempra Engery includes a requirement to hire locally.
