In March 2024, the Chinese government adopted the new "Pilot Work of Cities for New Technology Reform in the Manufacturing Industry" state aid scheme. Under the scheme, the central government will allocate funding for demonstration projects related to the intelligent transformation of the manufacturing sector in Chinese prefecture-level cities. The exact form the individual state aid will take is determined by the applying city.
