In June 2023, Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) signed a loan agreement with the State Bank of India, to finance the activities of AGP City Gas Private Limited in India (an investee of Japanese companies) which operates a gas distribution network business. Additionally, the bank also provided guarantees so the company could access private funding from other commercial banks.
