China: Adjustments to the import tariff rates of several products

On 24 February 2014, the Chinese government announced plans to change certain import tariffs on equipment. The measure will come into effect on 1 March 2014 and its aim, according to the state news agency Xinhua, is to improve resource exploration, control air pollution, push the development of new energy sources and increase railway safety.
