In April 2023, the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) signed a loan agreement of EUR 1.1 billion (USD 1.2 billion) with Eoliennes en Mer Iles d'Yeu et de Noirmoutier S.A.S. to finance an offshore wind farm project in France.
