In March 2023, the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) signed a loan agreement of USD 147 million with Mitsui Elastomers Singapore PTE Ltd., the Singaporean subsidiary of Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. The loan is for the production and sales of "TARMER (TM)" a copolymer.
