In December 2022, the government of Indonesia injected an IDR 3.2 trillion (USD 205.8 million) into PT Kereta Api Nasional (KAI) in the form of state equity participation to improve the capital and business capacities of the company and to cover the shortfall in costs for the development of Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train.
