In July 2010, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) of the U.S. Department of Commerce (DoC) approved USD 69.6 million in funding to Merit Network INC to expand the deployment of broadband infrastructure in Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
