In September 2010, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) of the U.S. Department of Commerce (DoC) approved USD 38.9 million in funding to Ion Newco CORP to expand the deployment of broadband infrastructure in New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont.
