In December 2008, the government of India extended the definitive duty imposed on imports of caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) from China and the Republic of Korea. In December 2013, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in August 2015. In February 2020, a new sunset review was initiated. In November 2020, the definitive duty was terminated.
