In August 2020, the United States initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of methionine from France, Japan and Spain. In March 2021, a provisional duty was imposed. In July 2021, a definitive duty was imposed on imports of the subject goods from France. In September 2021, a definitive duty was imposed on imports from Japan, and Spain.
