In March 2016, the United States initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of stainless steel sheet and strip from China. In September 2016, a provisional duty was imposed. In April 2017, a definitive duty was imposed. In May 2020, an anti-circumvention investigation on imports from China was initiated. In March 2022, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in November 2022.
