In December 2016, the United States initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of certain hardwood plywood products from China. Notably, on the same day, a countervailing investigation on the subject good was initiated, see related state act. In June 2017, a provisional duty was imposed. In January 2018, a definitive duty was imposed. In December 2022, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in June 2023.
