In February 2018, the United States initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of cast iron soil pipe from China. The investigation is still in progress. In April 2018, a provisional duty was imposed. The investigation is still in progress. In May 2019, a definitive duty was imposed. In April 2024, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in October 2024 (extension notice published in November 2024).
