In July 2017, the United States initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of low melt polyester staple fiber from Rep. of Korea and Chinese Taipei. In February 2018, a provisional duty was imposed. In August 2018, a definitive duty was imposed. In July 2023, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in December 2023.
