In March 2017, the United States initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of certain aluminium foil from China. In November 2017, a provisional duty was imposed. In April 2018, a definitive duty was imposed. In July 2022, an anti-circumvention investigation on imports from the Republic of Korea and Thailand was initiated. In March 2023, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in October 2023.
