In April 2017, the United States initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of silicon metal from Australia, Brazil and Norway. The investigation is still in progress. In October 2017, a provisional duty was imposed. The investigation is still in progress. In April 2018, the provisional anti-dumping duty was terminated.
