In February 2014, the United States initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from China. In September 2014, a provisional duty was imposed. In January 2015, a definitive duty was imposed. In December 2019, a sunset review was initiated, and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in June 2020. In May 2025, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in December 2025 (notice published in January 2026).
