In April 2011, the United States initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of certain steel nails from the United Arab Emirates. In November 2011, a provisional duty was imposed. In May 2012, a definitive duty was imposed. In April 2017, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in October 2017. In September 2022 a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in August 2023.
