In April 2011, the United States initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of certain stilbenic optical brightening agents from China and Chinese Taipei. In November 2011, a provisional duty was imposed. In May 2012, a definitive duty was imposed. In April 2017, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in November 2017. In October 2022, a sunset review was initiated. In December 2022, the definitive duty was terminated.
