In April 2019, the United States initiated an anti-dumping investigation on imports of polyethylene terephthalate sheet from the Republic of Korea, Mexico and Oman. In September 2019, the anti-dumping investigation was terminated on imports from Mexico. In March 2020, a provisional duty was imposed on imports from the Republic of Korea and Oman. In September 2020, a definitive duty was imposed. In February 2023, the definitive duty on imports from Oman was terminated. In August 2025, a sunset review was initiated on imports from the Republic of Korea. In January 2026, the definitive duty on imports from the Republic of Korea was terminated, effective from September 2025.
