In April 2010, the United States initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of aluminium extrusions from China. Notably, on the same day, a countervailing investigation on the subject good was initiated, see related state act. In November 2010, a provisional duty was imposed. In May 2011, a definitive duty was imposed. In April 2016, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in April 2017. In August 2019, the definitive duty was extended to imports from Viet Nam following the conclusion of an anti-circumvention investigation. In March 2022, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in November 2022.
