United States of America: Extension of definitive countervailing duties on imports of common alloy aluminum sheet from China

In December 2017, the United States initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of common alloy aluminum sheet from China. The investigation is still in progress. In April 2018, a provisional duty was imposed. The investigation is still in progress. In February 2019, a definitive duty was imposed. In August 2022, an anti-circumvention investigation on imports from China was initiated. In July 2023, an anti-circumvention investigation on imports from the Republic of Korea was initiated. In December 2023, the anti-circumvention investigation on imports from the Republic of Korea was terminated. In January 2024, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in September 2024 (the applicable duty extension month is August 2024).
