In August 2017, the United States initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of cast iron soil pipe fittings from China. The investigation is still in progress. In December 2017, a provisional duty was imposed. In August 2018, a definitive duty was imposed. In July 2023, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive countervailing duty was extended for a new period in January 2024 (applicable from December).
