In April 2014, the United States initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of sugar from Mexico. The investigation is still in progress. In September 2014, a provisional duty was imposed. The investigation is still in progress. In December 2014, a price undertaking agreement was introduced on imports of fresh sugar from Mexico. In September 2015, a definitive duty was imposed. In November 2019, a sunset review was initiated. In April 2020,, a price undertaking agreement was introduced on imports of fresh sugar from Mexico.
