In September 2013, the United States initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of chlorinated isocyanurates from China. The investigation is still in progress. In February 2014, a provisional duty was imposed. The investigation is still in progress. In November 2014, a definitive duty was imposed. In October 2019, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in May 2020. In April 2025, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in November 2025.
