United States of America: Extension of countervailing duty on imports of crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells, whether or not assembled into modules from China

In November 2011, the United States initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells, whether or not assembled into modules from China. The investigation is still in progress. In March 2012, a provisional duty was imposed. The investigation is still in progress. In December 2012, a definitive duty was imposed. In November 2017, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in March 2019. In April 2022, an anti-circumvention investigation on imports from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam was initiated. In February 2024, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in September 2024 (extension notice published in October 2024).
