In July 2009, the United States initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of certain steel grating from China. The investigation is still in progress. In November 2009, a provisional duty was imposed. The investigation is still in progress. In July 2010, a definitive duty was imposed. In July 2015, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in November 2015. In October 2020, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in June 2021.
