In March 2016, the United States initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of stainless steel sheets and strips from China. In July 2016, a provisional duty was imposed. In April 2017, a definitive duty was imposed. In March 2022, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in November 2022.
