United States of America: Extension of countervailing duty on imports of certain steel nails from Viet Nam

In June 2014, the United States initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on imports of certain steel nails from India, Rep. of Korea, Malaysia, Oman, Chinese Taipei, Turkiye and Viet Nam. The investigation is still in progress. In July 2014, the investigation was terminated from India and Turkiye. In November 2014, a provisional duty was imposed on Rep. of Korea, Malaysia, Oman, Chinese Taipei and Viet Nam. The investigation is still in progress. In July 2015, the provisional duty was terminated from Rep. of Korea, Malaysia, Oman and Chinese Taipei. In July 2015, a definitive duty was imposed on Viet Nam. In June 2020, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in June 2021 on Viet Nam.
