In August 2012, the government of Turkiye initiated a sunset review of the definitive duty imposed on imports of polyester synthetic staple from China. In July 2013, the definitive duty was extended. In May 2018, a sunset review was initiated and in October 2018 the definitive duty was extended. In September 2021, the duty was temporarily suspended. In April 2023, a sunset review was initiated and the definitive duty was extended for a new period in August 2024.
